Minimum SDK vs Target SDK

Minimum SDK (minSdkVersion):

The lowest API level with which your app is compatible. To enable your app to support more (older) devices, you should set it at a lower level.

Target SDK (targetSdkVersion):

The highest API level against which you've designed and tested your app. It is usually set to the latest API level available to take advantage of new platform features.
